Education / Camera
Learn the workflow behind every shot.
Entry roleThe overview
Camera trainees support the camera team while learning how equipment, records and preparation fit into filming. They usually work closely with the second AC.
Tasks depend on experience and supervision. They may help with monitors, batteries, equipment cleaning and packing. The aim is to become dependable with the assigned tasks while understanding the department’s workflow, rather than taking on unfamiliar equipment responsibilities without asking.
Equipment preparation, changing requirements between setups and packing at wrap form part of the working day.
